Karma & Reincarnation

Question - I would like to ask a question in connection with free-will.  Free-will, as I understand it, is exercised by a person in deciding to come back to Earth in order to meet his karmic debt?  Now, is it therefore possible to prophesize certain events and if so, is this not in conflict with free will?
Inoie – Why would you say that this can be in conflict here?  You mean, that a person would be forewarned and therefore forearmed as it were.  Or are you talking about in the wider sphere of world matters to be prophesied and so that the free-will will not be able to flow through into those events as it is now known to the person concerned.  Is that what you mean?
Question - Yes, I mean that if a path has been predestined, how then, is it possible for free-will to be exercised?

Inoie
– Although there is the predestination for all people of Earth and of all spheres, it boils down to this, that predestination as such, is the concept within the whole Universe, but the free-will of the person concerned, is how he makes use of his circumstances.

In other words, the one comes through into the world of the Physical prepared now, to overcome certain short comings…..and that is the predestined part, in that , the person will avoid pitfalls intuitively, as explained before.  By avoiding that, this person will not repeat the same short comings as in the previous incarnations.  But within that scope, there is the free-will of how to apply itself to circumstances.
I put it to you this way, tonight when you came here you had the free-will of either staying away or coming, for you had the choice.  If you stayed away, you would have missed this talk.  Perhaps, if you could not get it from others, your knowledge of this subject would not have stretched as far as it does now.  It is your free-will.
Again, perhaps tomorrow you are quite well, but you decide you are going to take a day off and you are not going to work.  This is your free-will that has allowed you to stay away, but it is not the part of the duty as you have seen it for yourself, for you have prepared yourself for this work in which you now do.  And in not doing so, this is your own free-will, but making that choice you might lose, which again changes for you your future.  And so, within that free-will, you can to a certain extent, change the future.
This applies not only to a little triviality such as this, but with one’s whole life-span.  You have for example the free-will to accept this that we give to you or to reject it.  You have your free-will to enter into any religion of your choice that you are aware of.  And this is where the free-will comes into force.

Are there any remaining questions, because I can see this building up in your mind?  I can also see that you now say: ‘How, if I use my free-will, will I know that it does not follow into the predestined path as such, that I can walk in different branches.’  Is that correct?
I say to you here, that the free-will is all a matter of using that which is the prerogative of the individual and has been given to him / her as the birthright through the Law of Karma; in that you can cause the effect to be different, by using your free-will.  This will change for you that which you have chosen  perhaps, to follow, but within the limited scope.  There is a limited scope associated with each person, which is called predestination.  Which is not to say that because you are going to enter into the plane of Spirit at a certain time, that now you can just leave things and it will automatically come or happen to you.

I think a good example here would be to say that nobody can hope to sit for a M.A. Degree without preparing for it, without studying and without allowing the normal course of education until the one ahs the degree.  So people can say it was not destined for them to have that degree, if within themselves they use their free-will not to study.  But if they use the free-will and they want to write this examination, then of course, they will write it and succeed and so prepare for themselves within this their scope, a certain type of living, a certain thing that they wanted for themselves.  And so they work for it, through their free-will.  They did not leave it and say: ‘I will get my degree no matter what, because I am predestined for it.
